We are available for your convenience Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m.

Initial Exam Appointment

Initial examinations are performed to determine if an orthodontic problem exists. If Dr. Goodson’s examination reveals that a problem exists, the extent of that problem and possible treatment approaches will be discussed. In some younger patients, the doctor will have to monitor tooth eruption and jaw growth while the child matures. Those patients will be placed on our “Recall Program” for periodic checkups. As a courtesy to you, there will be no charge for the initial examination.

Diagnostic Records Appointment

Diagnostic records are required if the examination indicates an immediate need for treatment. This analysis is essential in order to provide complete and accurate information about your case. The diagnostic records will be used to analyze and confirm your condition and prepare a detailed treatment plan. The diagnostic records include:

After analyzing your diagnostic records, Dr. Goodson can determine the severity of the problem, the probable duration of treatment, the exact cost of treatment and the expected results.

Consultation Appointment

Consultation visits occur approximately two weeks after Dr. Goodson has analyzed your diagnostic records. Appropriate treatment options will then be discussed with the patient and interested parties. In children’s cases, it is strongly recommended that both parents attend this session with their children. During this visit, you will be told the probable length of treatment and the treatment fee and you should feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Appointments

Your scheduled appointment time has been reserved specifically for you. We request 24-hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing an appointment. After missing your second appointment without notifying us 24 hours in advance, you are subject to being charged an additional fee.
